The New England Knights  the pioneers in Connecticut- by incorporating speed and strength training within a developmental baseball program-- when the Knights were founded in 2007.


In today's sports world, the most important factors when players tryout for high school, collegiate and professional teams are their measurables. A few of these tests include:

  • 60 yard dash
  • Home to first time
  • Pro Agility Shuttle
  • Grip strength test
  • Vertical jump, among others.


Since 1991, the reputation, consistency and results produced by the Parisi Speed School and the training staff are irrefutable. Hundreds of thousands of athletes among all sports have gained considerable improvements in confidence and physical speed and strength to help them along their athletic path.


Our organization is uniquely positioned in the baseball industry, able to provide world-class training, equipment and facilities under one roof.

As the industry leader in performance enhancement, the Parisi Speed School’s mission is to continue to deliver a positive training experience that improves speed of movement and strength in character regardless of ability or economic status. 

Since 1991, the Parisi Speed School has:

  • trained over 1,000,000 athletes ages 7 through the pros. 
  • 105 facilities spanning across the United States
  • produced dozens of Olympic medalists
  • is the Speed & Power content provider for NFL Youth Football Development Program
  • training programs utilized by youth organizations and high schools from around the country.

Knights Strength and Conditioning Benefits

Knights Speed, Strength, and Conditioning will:

  • Enhance change of direction ability, acceleration, and ability to reach top speed
  • Improve running technique, decrease reaction time, and increase foot speed
  • Create a mechanically correct, efficient, and powerful running form with enhanced flexibility
  • Improve rotational, overall body, and core strength
  • Help players of all ages and ability levels

Out of season training:

  • Builds a stronger base for the next season, increases flexibility, and reduce susceptibility to injury
  • Improves running mechanics and technique
  • Allows athletes to train at a higher intensity level to increase strength, speed and overcome previous plateaus with a rest from the rigors and stresses of game play


How Parisi training will help you improve and how it relates to on-field play


Hitters

  • Improve bat speed to hit the ball harder and farther by generating and increasing lower body and core rotational power
  • Improve speed and acceleration to move from base to base as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Enhance reactive ability to get a jump on stealing second base or reacting to batted balls.
  • Improve home to first times

Pitchers

  • Gain overall power and endurance to throw the ball harder and stay on the mound longer
  • Correct muscular imbalances associated with overhand throwing
  • Enhance lower body strength and power, along with dynamic flexibility.

Position Players

  • Improve first-step quickness, foot speed, and top speed abilities
  • Increase defensive range and improve 60yd dash times
  • Improved Flexibility and Range of Motion


Strength Training for Injury Prevention
Injury finds weakness.  Many athletes use incorrect mechanics when decelerating from sprints and landing from jumps. This coupled with a strength imbalance is a recipe for ACL injury. Studies have shown that athletes who participate in properly designed speed and strength training program are less likely to injure the ACL.

Parisi Speed School works on injury prevention with a speed specific designed strength program that trains athletes to:

  • Use proper running mechanics
  • Accelerate and decelerate correctly
  • Work on landing position by focusing on stabilization and control of the ankle, knee and hip
  • Eliminate muscle imbalances and increase relative body strength
